It's possible, but the evidence isn't strong. We've got 1 tweet, 1 Reddit post, and this. If there were "tons of sources", there would be more than 1 tweet and a Reddit post.
The main problem with going to Canada is the visual shows Rin with her scooter... like she'd ship her scooter with her?
Are you reading the manga or watching the anime?
So, I suspect you are the one spreading these "rumors". I've been to Banff and Lake Louise where the mountain backdrop is probably stolen from, but I think the creators of the visual were being lazy and just based it on a nice photo they saw. I follow Yuru Camp news closely and have never seen any Canada rumors outside this post.
