Asaka (亜咲花) is an anisong singer who has sung at least two opening songs for Yuru Camp anime, SHINY DAYS for the first season and The Sunshower for the short-form Heya Camp mini-series. Her debut was singing the ending theme song Open your eyes for the anime Occultic;Nine. In addition she has sung theme songs for anime like A Centaur's Life, ISLAND, and YU-NO: A girl who chants love at the bound of this world. She has appeared at Animelo Summer Live (the biggest annual anime songs music festival in Japan) in both 2018 and 2019.
In late April 2020, her agency announced she would be going on hiatus to recover from vocal cord polyp removal surgery with a return date planned for around May 25, 2020.[1]
