Synopsis from the official anime site[]
- The end of the year when everyone is busy in December. Nadeshiko, Chiaki, and Aoi's involved in the Outdoor Activities Club and Ena worked part-time. And Rin, who is also working part-time, is planning a New Year's camp.[2]
Plot[]
A flashback scene shows Rin receive some camping gear from her grandfather. Her father Wataru then takes her to Lake Motosu for her first camping experience. He heads off to the lodge, leaving her to fend for herself with the tent, campfire, and dinner. She can't get a campfire started and asks the caretaker for help. She tries cooking rice over the fire, but ruins the food and the pot. Rin's mother seems to have anticipated all this, and sent along a package of instant curry cup noodles.
In the present, Rin and her father plan Rin's next camping expedition which she will make over the New Year's holiday. Nadeshiko has a job delivering mail primarily by biking from place to place. She remembers riding her bike behind Ayano, before she moved to Yamanashi. She discusses with her Outdoor Activities Club friends what they are doing over the holiday, which upsets Chiaki who has to work. Rin heads out in the early morning on her trip. As she passes through Nanbu she encounters Nadeshiko, who wishes her well, and offers Rin a package of instant curry noodles.
