Overview[]

Spring has arrived, and Rin has decided to go on another solo-camping adventure! But amid the changing seasons, everyone else is itching to go out too. Nadeshiko is on a drive with her big sister to enjoy the cherry blossoms in bloom, Inuko is trying out a sleek new bicycle, and both Ena and Chiaki are doing outdoor excursions of their own. New meetings, new challenges—it’s truly a season of renewal for these camp-loving friends![2]

Summary[]

The academic year ends, and March becomes April. While Rin camps near Oyanagawa Gorge and meets a caravanning couple, Nadeshiko also goes to see the cherry blossoms closer to home, though with the help of older sister Sakura who offers to drive her. They visit Utsubuna Park first. Their plans to drive up Mt. Minobu to see the weeping blossoms are botched by the full parking lot at the base. Rin then goes to the hot spring near the gorge, and ends up chatting with the female caravan occupant named Ogawa, who is a novice camper but also an experienced road cyclist.

Rin takes the path suggested by Ogawa, and sees not just flower blossoms but also many stray cats. She soon realizes that her parents took her on a drive down the same path when she was younger. Her journey concludes at Jinrokusakura Park where she encounters Nadeshiko and Sakura. Meanwhile, Ena walks her dog Chikuwa at Fujikawa Park and hears of Chiaki's decision to camp on her own. She falls asleep, and is woken up by a young girl named Ema Mizunami, who was drawing her and Chikuwa. Ena is impressed with Ema's drawings, then realizes she is running late for work and excuses herself. Ema's friend then arrives, and is revealed to be much less ambitious.

During Chiaki's solo camp, she makes a meal for herself, and is then led by a stray black cat towards a hot spring, where Aoi is already there even though she said she'd only be free the day after. Aoi explains that she recently received a road bike from her aunt, and after riding it for a while, was taken aback by how fast it went. Aoi shows her new bike to Chiaki after both leave the hot spring. Just then, her bike suffers a puncture, forcing her to call for a ride home.
