Lake Motosu (本栖湖, Motosu-ko) is where Rin went camping in Episode 1 of Yuru CampΔ. She and Nadeshiko returned there in Episode 12. It is one of the five Fuji Lakes.

They stayed at Koan Campground (浩庵キャンプ場, Kōankyanpujō) [1]. It's a lakeside campground, where visitors set up right by the edge of the water.

The view from here of Mount Fuji is on Series E (issued from 2004-2024)[2] of the Japanese 1000-yen note. In 2024 it is replaced with The Great Wave off Kanagawa.  It was previously on Series D of the 5000 yen note, from 1984-2004.

The tunnel that Rin biked through is Nakanokura Tunnel (中之倉トンネル, Nakanokura ton'neru) on Route 300. It is about 500m long, ending right at the campground. The winding road up the mountain from the village of Ichinose is about 14 km, climbing 650m in elevation (from 264m at the river to 912m at the lake).
