Season 3 of Yuru CampΔ (ゆるキャンΔ, also known as "Laid-Back Camp") was announced on October 22, 2022 during a screening of the Yuru CampΔ Movie.[5][6] It premiered on April 4, 2024.[1]
Production and release[]
On July 9, 2023, the official site announced the new season would premiere in 2024 with some new crew (new director) and change in animation studio to Eight Bit (エイトビット).[3][4]
Along with the July 2023 announcement, additional comments by the new director on the official site acknowledged the character design has changed.[7]
On September 28, 2023, a teaser visual, teaser PV, and OP/ED artists were announced.[8][9] The OP will be performed by new music unit Kimi No Ne (キミのね) and Asaka will return to do the ED. Although Eri Sasaki will apparently not be singing either the OP or ED, she will presumably be involved in the composition and lyrics of the ED. The premiere was confirmed to be sometime in 2024.
On October 23, 2023, the premiere time was narrowed to April 2024, with more details about specific crew and cast given.[2]
On November 30, 2023, a second teaser PV and a character visual for Ayano Toki were released.[10][11] The 2nd teaser PV gives the impression that Ayano will have a much larger role than Season 2.
On December 21, 2023, a character visual for Chiaki Ōgaki was released.[12]
On January 11, 2024, a character visual for Aoi Inuyama was released.[13][14]
On February 1, 2024, an advanced screening[15] of the first 3 episodes was announced for February 24th (Saturday) at Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo and a character visual for Ena Saitō with Chikuwa was released.[16] Yumiri Hanamori, Nao Toyama, and Tomoyo Kurosawa are expected to attend the advanced screening.
On March 14, 2024, a final pre-premiere key visual and trailer video was released.[17] Additionally, on the same day on the official site, a detailed premiere and release schedule was posted.[18]
On June 21, 2024, the official website announced that the first episode would be rebroadcast starting June 27, 2024 as part of a selection of episodes being rebroadcasted for a program titled "Laid-back CampΔ SEASON 3 Selection Broadcast".[19] The following stations will be rebroadcasting: TOKYO MX, BS11, Sun Television, KBS Kyoto, Hokkaido TV, and TV Aichi.
On June 25, 2024, it was announced that the first volume of the DVD & blu-ray would be released the next day on June 26, 2024.[20]

Trivia[]
- Although the director acknowledged that the character designs had changed, the difference was not significantly noticeable from the first teaser trailer PV as only Rin was slightly different.[7][8] Rin's bangs are much longer and her face is a bit rounder. The chins of the characters are pointier, and their eyes are a bit more generic.
