"Two Camps, Two Campers' Views" is the fifth episode of season one of the Yuru CampΔ anime series.

Plot synopsis[]

Nadeshiko, Chiaki, and Aoi enter the hot spring while Rin is still on the way to Takabotchi Highlands with her scooter. She feels cold and decides to visit a hot spring once she reaches her destination.

After relaxing in the hot spring Nadeshiko, Chiaki and Aoi buy some fried hot spring eggs and head to the restroom where they fall asleep.

Meanwhile, Rin reaches Takabocchi Highlands and makes her way to the Takabocchi Mineral Springs hot spring. Upon arrival, she discovers that they are closed. She carries on to her destination and decides to climb Mt. Takabocchi where she appreciates the view. Afterward, she goes around looking for a camping place and after discovering a good spot she makes herself a soup-style pasta.

The Outdoor Activities Club members wake up and realize that they are too late. They hurry to their campground where they quickly set up their camp and Nadeshiko makes curry. Thereafter, they talk to each other around the campfire before heading to bed, where they realize that their tent is too small and Nadeshiko has to sleep alone in the other tent after losing rock, paper, scissors.

Nadeshiko and Rin chat with each other on their phones while lying in their tents. Rin mentions the pretty night view upon which Nadeshiko heads out to a viewpoint where she takes a photo that she sends Rin. Rin is amazed at the photo and goes back up to Mt. Takabocchi from where she sends a photo to Nadeshiko. Both stand at two different spots while simultaneously enjoying their respective views.

Notes & Trivia[]

  • Rin is at Takabocchi Highlands (高ボッチ高原, Takabocchi kōgen). The lookout is at Mount Takabocchi (高ボッチ山 Takabocchi yama) overlooking Lake Suwa (諏訪湖, Suwa-ko) to the south. The near side of the lake is the city of Okaya, and the far side is the city of Suwa. There is no campground operating here, although there are washrooms at two of the parking lots. Camping outside of designated locations in a national park is prohibited, but due to the number of tourists doing so anyhow, in 2019 the 2nd parking lot near the summit and the adjacent yard were assigned as spots, where setting up a tent is permitted.[2]
  • Nadeshiko, Chiaki, and Aoi are camping at Eastwood Campground. In real life, this is Pine Wood Campground (パインウッド オートキャンプ場 Pain'uddo ōtokyanpu-ba). The lookout is at Fuefukigawa Fruit Park (笛吹川フルーツ公園 Fuefukigawa furūtsu kōen) overlooking the cities of Yamanashi (山梨市) and Fuefuki (笛吹市) to the south.
