Yamanashi Prefecture is a mountainous prefecture in central Honshu (the largest main island of the archipelago of Japan) that is located just west of Tokyo and mostly north of Mount Fuji. The author of Yuru CampΔ manga, Afro, was born and grew up in Yamanashi Prefecture. Most of Season 1 and some of Season 2 of the Yuru CampΔ anime is set in the prefecture, as is Heya CampΔ shortform series. Since the Yuru CampΔ TV drama follows the anime very closely, it is also set in basically the same locations.
Naoko Takeuchi, creator of Sailor Moon manga, was also born in Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture.
The Super Cub light novel, manga, and anime also takes place in Yamanashi Prefecture.
